Objective
Compositor and 2D animator with experience in episodic television and feature film seeking opportunities to use my skills to elevate the look of series, short, and commercial animation. Georgia resident, open to on-site, remote and hybrid work.

Compositor | Hit-Monkey (TV series) | June 2023 - May 2024
- Blend 2d characters with 3d environments, props, vehicles creating custom 3d elements from 2d assets as needed.
- Craft complex lighting and visual effects for animated TV series with a highly cinematic look.
- Establish key looks and lighting for recurring locations, then simplify them to “plug-and-play” styles which can be applied efficiently to subsequent shots by others.
- Identify potential issues early and work with colleagues in other departments to find creative solutions.
- One of only two non-leads to composite on all 10 episodes of season 2.
- Utilize node-based compositing with Nuke as well as Pantheon proprietary tools, to add volumetric lighting to 2D animated characters, according to direction from Lighting Supervisor.
- Receive direction with a collaborative attitude, perform iterations and/ or present multiple options as needed to ensure each shot meets the level of quality and craft outlined by the Lighting Supervisor.
- QC assets based on benchmark shots, communicating respectfully if revisions are needed to ensure consistency.
- Learn, adapt, and provide feedback on workflows, techniques, and templates to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Create rough, traditional pass of animation to plan acting, staging and expression.
- Translate traditional poses into full animation with rigged characters in Toon Boom Harmony.
- Track hand-held camera motion, create shadows, tones, and reflections to match 2D animated characters into classical paintings and live-action plates.
- Develop look of the film, create documentation and training materials so other compositors can replicate the look.
- Troubleshoot problems by researching and developing solutions to technical issues as they arise.
- Create finished animation with rigged characters and assist with pose clean-up/ tweening as needed.
- Composite shots using Nuke and Pantheon to match volumetric lighting style of characters to backgrounds, creating shadows, reflections, and custom VFX.
- Compositing process and tools developed on the film have been featured in articles by AWN, Toon Boom, The Foundry, Movie Maker Magazine, Cartoon Brew, and more.

- 2D puppet layout for frogs with tweenable legs and other characters on Adult Swim show.
- Translate board/ animatic poses to the characters while staying on style for shows with very specific design rules.
- Roto and color correct to hide green suit actor in shots where the footage without the actor was lost.
- Design, animate, and composite hand-drawn/ 2D puppet hybrid animated characters into live-action plates.
